I took my son's first grade class out to their school garden plot for their first harvest!- Radishes! They enjoyed them raw, by themselves, and shredded in a salad with shredded carrots, and a light dressing. We have some "budding" gardeners that may be hooked!

Sounds great to me, now I wish I had planted radishes. Maybe it's not too late.

I harvested a bag full of olives to cure, a large bage of navel oranges and mexican limes from my Mom's orchard in Porterville. Everything was delicious. We also picked large Hass avocados for guacamole.

This weekend was the last of our Fuji apples (about 10), 6 Washington Navel oranges which were unbelievably good, I just love a sweet navel orange with a little chill in the air! We also have a few Valencia oranges which are ripening (not my favorite to eat, but my kids love the juice), tons of Rosemary and three little undersized satsuma tangerines (I planted to tree in the wrong spot and it doesn't get enough sun,so the fruit isn't as big or juicy as it could be, but they're still yummy
). I'm about two - three weeks away from one of my new favorite fruits - meiwa kumquats!
