Care must be given to avoid invasiveness, as this plant can reseed and create havoc in wild places if left unattended. Pruning after blooms die is a necessity to avoid this. The shrub itself has a weeping form, is semi-evergreen in milder zones, and can get 6'-12' tall by 4'-14' wide. Give it some elbow room! Likes good drainage, average soil, good circulation, and normal watering. They can be drought tolerant once established. Needs full direct sun. Deadhead old blooms for a continuous summer show.
