Artichokes - April 23 in San Diego

You have to love spring - here's my artichokes this morning - we'll be eating these bad boys this weekend! I can't wait - we usually steam the artichokes and then dip in melted butter or mayonaise any other suggestions for dipping sauces?

I have never tried them steamed and dipped into something, I have always used the artichoke IN a dip like with cream cheese, sour cream, garlic, and cheddar. Then use bread or crackers to dip it up. I will have to expand our menu around here and try something new and perhaps less fattening! Thanks for the tip.
