Anyone want to swap??

I would like to swap crocusmia, watsonia's, naked lady's (reddish orange on the crocusmia's and ,white on the watsonia's, pink on the naked lady's...please see my photo's) or whatever you think I might find interesting...? I may have in my lists o' stuff you might want to swap for??...Trust me I have a lot of stuff not listed.. Oh yeah, I am also looking for a cutting of orchid cactus (I love those!)..I'll let you know if anything I have listed is not available at the moment. So like me you are not holding your breathe!
On the other hand if you want to swap seeds instead let me know I've got ooodles, and boat loads of seeds as well...

Watcha got?? I am looking for elephant ears, watsonia's of a different color than white obviously... or other bulbs... Really it does not have to be a bulb swap, I just happen to have a smörgåsbord of those at the moment......I love seeds too, so many things to try, so little time.... I really, and I mean really, am not into gladiolus... I am sincere here and I do mean emphatically really. I mean really seriously I don't like them!! They just don't do anything but remind me of discomfort for me. They remind me of funeral's and I'd rather not go there...I've had too many of those in this lifetime.. sadly - more than my fair share... Onto better thoughts...!

I have tons of Asclepias currassivica seeds, a combination of yellow and the yellow/red (they're accidentally mixed in one bag ) I also have Asclepias physocarpa (family jewels) these get a lot taller (4 ft) but the flowers aren't as pretty. But I like these a lot because they really create a lot of food for the monarch caterpillars (which is why i grow them)see here www.themulch.com/myblog/butterfly-project-for-the-whole-family

I will also have a lot of Cerinthe major www.themulch.com/component/plants/?view=plants&plantid=83954 - these are super cool and unique and the re-seed like crazy!

I would love watsonia.

I also have a bunch of epiphyllums (orchid cactus) that I could give you cuttings from - but i don't remember all the colors, it would be a random thing unless we waited until they bloomed and then I could send you one.

I would love to swap with you! I have always wanted an orchid cactus, they are soooo pretty! I really don’t care what the flower color is. I would just like to try one if that makes sense?... I like anything colorful..

I do have some watsonia bulbs, although they are white. They are from my grandmother’s garden.. They have been passed down for many generations. For whatever reasons I ended up with all white? I do remember as a child that she had other colors of them too.

I have some with your name on them if you are willing to try them? They are really easy to grow, and pretty darn drought tolerant too once you get them established. I also have some crocosmia if you might want some? You sound like I do, I try and garden, for the wildlife.The hummingbirds do seem to enjoy the crocusmia when they start blooming.

I would love to try your orchid cactus, and the cerinthe seeds, and the asclepsias...although I have not seen a monarch around here for years, and years. Though it seems reasonable to grow some, and keep them on hand if the odd chance that a monarch may flit by and partake of my garden if that makes sense..?
On the other hand I do see quite a few yellow swallowtails... Are you interested in Jerusalem artichokes? I can spare some of those too...? They are actually “sunchokes” if you go by the name brand sold in the store” (that's where I got my starts from..) Not quite as bulky as the Jerusalem’s but still the same nutty flavor - good on salads - Mine get quite tall, and have a rather 'undramatically' small sunflower bloom. The bloom is maybe a total of 3-4" across. I have not found them terribly invasive although they are reputed to be a rampant spreader. Although I do admit they are planted in a corner of the yard behind the compost bin itself. Where nothing seems to want to grow anyways. I think they like it over there behind the bin. They were exceptionally tall last year. I'm sure the run/off from the bin helps in that department...I also think the compost bin helps to keep them contained as well if that makes sense.

I also have a plant from a gardening friend It looks like a rough grass.. However, it does have a bloom similar to that of a bromeliad ..purples/reds and a similar bloom stalk.. I have yet to identify it?... It is definitely pretty hardy ( I grow it outdoors all winter long..) and quite pretty when it blooms as well. I keep it in a pot all year round. Until I figure out what it is?

I don’t want to just plant it in the yard, and have it take over.... I don’t think it will though. It clumps rather than spreads, however, it is still contained to a pot. So maybe it does? Well at least until I identify it?? I just want to be sure..you just never know with plants...it does not seem invasive? Though you never know when it comes to plants. That innocent cute little start can take over a yard if you don't know what you're planting!

You are welcome to some of that too. My gardening buddy whom I got it from calls it some sort of African grass? Although she is unsure of the name just as I am. The foliage is not quite tubular like that of a bromeliad. However, the leaf color is similar to a bromeliad if that makes any sense? I'll try and snap a photo of it one of these days maybe you might know what it is?
I also have hollyhock seeds if you are interested. Mine are singles a really dark maroon almost black/dark purple if you might be interested in those?

I have my hands full with the too many jobs thing going. But I do have days off once in a while. So occasionally I am free to do the neat o’ random stuff like gardening and swapping neat stuff! So let’s make a trade! I hope to hear from you soon. I’d like to get the stuff out, before the weather really changes around here and starts heating up to miserable.

I'm not fussy, but if i had my choice I would prefer watsonia bulbs and I wouldn't mind some hollyhocks!

Just to let you know my attempt at planning failed miserably... I got called into work for inventory prep that day much to my dismay..- argh!! I have a crazy week ahead, so I'll keep you posted for now.. sorry about the delay - As soon as this chaos is over I will have some time to actually get the stuff in the mail to you. I am weird in the sense that I like to send stuff first, and be done with it.. Before I send you my address.. I don't know why I'm like that...? I will try and be better in the future. Do you have any tips on how to send plants/bulbs?? This is all new to me.. I don't have a whole lot of bulbs to share, but enough that I can spare some. I just want to make sure they get there o.k.? I don't want them to melt in shipping.. Any suggestions would be a bonus right now.
