What's blooming in your garden today?

Here's two Leptospermum Nanum Tui just blooming away in January. Behind them is a Red Damask that is just starting to show color. In the bottom right is a Leptospermum variety horizontalis cascading over the wall. It will be covered with white blossoms in the spring.

Hard to believe it's midwinter my yard is so colorful. I have blooming:
Pansies & violas, primroses, bird of paradise, camellias, stock, euryops, some lantana, flowering pear (just starting), some narcissus, peach tree, a few apple blossoms, some lavender, rosemary, daphne odora,dombeya,osmanthus fragrans and nasturtiums. Sorry I don't have a good photo.

Wow - so many things! Camellias, citrus trees, billbergias, geraniums, begonias, gerberas, narcissus, chasmanthe, crocosmia, iris, rosemary, impatiens, cymbidium orchids, lavender, a dendrobium (well, that's in the house), aloes and a lot of other succulents (don't know all their names; kalanchoes are among them), a spineless cactus (Hatiora salicornioides)... and some of the roses that were cut back around New Year's are in bud. And a lone canna that forgot to stop blooming, as well as a bougainvillea that didn't get entirely stripped of its bracts by the recent winds and rain.

Wow - that sounds fantastic! My stone fruit are just starting to explode and my abutilon are going nuts, and my lavatera maritima is absolutely ridiculous! This is the time of year in Southern California that I'm always tricked into planting frost sensitive things because the early spring seduces me into thinking everything is going to be ok. But as I do this for more years I know I need to hold off on summer vegetables and tender annuals for a few weeks (at least) - it's so tempting though!
