Flowering tree

I'm looking for a flowering tree, suitable for front lawn. I prefer something not too tall and roots that are not invasive. It's on a sunny location and I live in zone 23, or close to it.
I'd appreciate if someone would give me suggestions for trees that would be good for this location. Thanks!

and if you go to your "plant recommendations" section here www.themulch.com/index.php?option=com_co...14&id=121&Itemid=438 and you filter the list by the term "Trees" you'll get a great list of recommendations. You can easily see which are for southern California, and each recommendation says if it's for coastal or inland or both.
