Another photo of berry bush

Here is another photo of the berry bush. It's base grows in many trunks like bamboo:unsure:

Hello Roz: As nearly as I can tell it looks like Nandina "Heavenly Bamboo". I live along the coast and have several---here they tend to get mildew, but keep producing flowers and berries. In fact, I often take the big pruners to them, cutting the little trunks to the height I want them to start growing. It's hard to kill them.

You are absolutely right! I looked heavenly bamboo up online and it matches the photo. Thanks so much,,,
