Brown dying leaves on my madagascar jasmine

Hi everyone,
I planted two of these madagascar jasmine in fall and I've noticed a quick downturn in health. I live along the coast in san diego sunset zone 24. can anyone help?

It's hard to tell what got it, but the leaves are mottled like a leaf spot fungis may have invaded. Remember, too, that madagascar jasmine is not a true jasmine and is grown a lot like an orchid. It requires bright, indirect light. Full sun will eventually kill it. Temperatures should not drop below 40 degrees. It requires a rest period from October to February (no water or fertilizer). Shoots will wither somewhat, but that is normal. Prune soft wood and dead branches in the spring to encourage flowering. Also, in February, dunk it in a bucket of water or water it thoroughly for about 15-30 minutes. This tells the plant "It's the spring flood season. Time to bloom." Too much salt may have also built up. Hope this helps a little.
