Should we remove seed ponds on our Dwarf Queen pal

Should we remove seed ponds on our Dwarf Queen palm tree. We have four in a group and we would like to keep them dwarfed. What kind of fertilizer should we use. Someone has suggested epson salts to keep the frowns from getting yellow and brown on the tips of the frowns. To keep them nice and green what is your take on this?? gladyspenistan@hotmail.com.

It probably does not matter if you leave the seeds on or cut them off. On some palms they may become unsighly or a hazard if they are on the ground (like stepping on marbles) Baby Queens have small seeds so that should not be a problem. If you are concened about the seeds staining hard surfaces, it may be best to remove them. I don't think it will make any difference as to the gowth of the palm if you leave them on or cut them off. Fertilize the palms with any high nitrogen plant food. Epsom Salts might make things greener if there is a lack of Magnesium in the soil, in most cases there is enough of that natrally. If they are yellow, give it a try, might add a little Iron too. Check to see the plant is not staying soggy wet, that can cause yellowing also.
