Are these plants worth keeping alive?

Are these plants worth keeping alive? was created by mattheew
I have what I think is a dragon tree or spider plant and a boston fern, but I'm not sure if they are worth trying to keep alive, the spider plant is very droopy and dry and has gotten a lot of damage from my cats and the fern was given to me extremely dried out. This is what the fern looks like after all the dryness was cut out.

Keeping them alive is probably possible. BUT it will take quite a while to get either of them looking good again. Boston Ferns (or that type) are very inexpensive and you can find them almost anywhere. For the time and energy and the plant food needed, why not just buy a nice looking, health plant? Then it will be something you can enjoy now! 'Nursing' either plant back to health will take a while. If you just feel like it is someting to try, just do it, but for me, I would prefer to have something nice to look at, not a sorry looking plant, that 'may' look good in six months or more. Just my thoughts.
