Crown of Thorns

Does anyone know anything about the Crown of Thorns plant? I have a really large one and need to know if it could be planted outside?

I also have a large one. It is planted in a 24" pot and has been outside in the Phoenix heat since March. It has done very well so far. I did move it under a shade screen material in early July due to the extreme sun intensity. Once, that was done, it has actually increased in size and has recently started to show some buds. Hopefully it may bloom some this fall once the temps get below 90 or so. It is a simple and very nice plant.

ANOTHER THING you should be aware of, you are in Pennsylvaina and the 'response' you got was from Arizona. Totally different climates. I agree it should do well outside in your area, full to part sun. But you should move the plant to a warmer area when it starts to cool off. You should protect it from freezing by all means. If the temp. is going to be in the 30's at night I would move it to a bright room indoors.
