Is anyone here growing neem tree? If so, where did you purchase it? Or did you start from seed? If you've got one growing, how is it doing? There are so many excellent uses for the neem that I've decided I should be growing it. Thanks for any info.

Many of the \"uses\" of the Neem tree require sophisticated technology; e.g., a high quality still. What uses did you have in mind?

Well,I do have a still though I've not used it in awhile. Apparently water extracts of ground neem leaves are useful as a spray, or processing the kernels. We use neem oil as a plant spray and also for personal use. I'd like to experiment.

The effective Neem oil products (e.g., Green Light \"Neem II\") are the results of successive decantations along with some organic chemistry. I would again caution that producing beneficial by-products of the Neem tree is both technologically and monetarily an intensive task. On the other hand, it is a beautiful plant that (unlike it's doppleganger) does not introduce toxins into the environment and repels most pests in our area. If I needed an evergreen shade tree, I would plant it for that reason alone.
