I have a mature Montanoa leucantha and wondering if I should prune it. At this time of the year, it looks a little "leggy". Really long legs at that. Thanks

Pruning the plant now is possible, as it is a late fall/winter bloomer and you aren't likely to prune off blooms. However, check the plant carefully for signs of budding before pruning, and don't prune back more than 25 percent of the plant. Make judicious cuts. If you want to cut back more growth, wait until it blooms next fall/winter, and do so right after blooming, which is the safest time to prune back most flowering plants.
