Will Lacewings harm butterfly caterpillars?

Three questions about lacewinges.
1.We're thinking of releasing lacewings into our butterfly castle to eat the aphids. The directions say they will eat small caterpillars. Does that include small Monarch caterpillars?

2.Swallowtail caterpillars?

3.I know the milkweed makes the monarch safe from birds because it is poison to them? Will it also protect them from the lacewing?

Good question since they are usually considered a great aphid control. I did a little reading and the consensus is that small caterpillars may become lacewing larvae food, whatever the definition of small is.

Have you considered releasing ladybugs instead? I found no mention of ladybug larvae eating caterpillars.
