HONEYSUCKLE

I have a honeysuckle plant that I bought at WalMart the other day. When I went to add it to my plant list there were about 60 different varities of honeysuckle. How can I tell which one mine is? It has yellow and white flowers. I live in zone 8b. And, I'm not sure what sunset zone I'm in, plus I don't know what that means. As you can tell I'm a beginner gardener. I'm also not very familiar with forums or blogs.

It's hard to tell without a photo but I'll try - Is it supposed to be a vine? If so my guess is it's Lonicera japonica www.themulch.com/plants/45694 , or if that doesn't look like it I would suggest using the general Honeysuckle term of Lonicera spp - www.themulch.com/plants/45653

It brings up a really good question - it brings up the issue of how nurseries (especially big box stores) label their plants (sometimes not very well). As a general rule, here at the Mulch, if you can't figure out exactly what plant it is you pick the botanical name which is followed by 'spp' - which means ANY of the species, for instance Salvia spp - means I'm not sure which Salvia it is, but I know it's a Salvia.

I think you made the right guess because it is a vine.
I found out that I am in sunset zone 33 (Dallas/Ft. Worth).
