OK, I know this may be a bit crazy but has anyone tried growing rhubarb in southern California? I live in zone 9b, or Sunset zone 21. I wondered if it couldn't be grown in a large pot with summer sun protection. Thanks, Nancita

I'm sure it can be grown in a container, if it is large enough. Perhaps a 'squat 15 gallon' size. They are about 16" in diameter, but not too tall. Be sure you have a soil mix with a lot of organic 'stuff' in it for best results. Also your soil mix should drain well, they don't like to be soggy wet.
