Creeping Jenny

My front yard is about 10 feet wide by 3 feet deep (no, those aren't typos). Three of the fours sides are planted with pretty things, perennials mostly, and the middle and front are still grass.

Over the course of the summer a good portion of that middle was taken over by Creeping Jenny. So far, that's fine with me... it's much prettier than my grass was, and my goal is to eventually replace all the grass with plants anyway.

But I'm reading all sorts of horror stories about how Creeping Jenny suffocates other plants, and now I'm worried. I don't mind it spreading as much as it wants but I don't want it to kill the other plants.

Does anyone have advice?

Creeping Jenny spreads on the surface, making it easy to rip out where you don't want it.

I would say chameleon plant or pachysandra would be more worrisome in this regard. Even sweet woodruff is more of a smotherer than creeping jenny, in my experience.

Thank you! I don't care how much it spreads as long as it doesn't hurt my other plants.
