Memorial Garden Help

We are trying to organize a memorial garden in our back yard to honor our baby girl (Clara Grace) who passed away in January at 3 weeks. We'd like to have perennials and annuals mixed and we have no idea what to plant. The area we have is in full shade all day long, we do not have any sunny areas in our yard anywhere. It is an area that has a lot of older tall trees, mostly pines. I have been reading articles and books but I thought maybe an experienced planter would have some suggestions. We definitely want to incorporate pink flowers as much as possible. We did plant a few things this spring but didn't choose very well for shaded areas so mostly everything died. Any help is greatly appreciated, I'd like to have a plan in place before planting season. If there's anything I can plant now that would be great. We are in southeastern Michigan (Davisburg) so our planting seasons aren't that long I guess. Thank you!
