Related to the banana & the ginger plant, Canna have vibrant flowers soaring over wide colorful foliage. Can reach over 5 feet in height. Prefers full sun, but will tolerate filtered light during the latter part of the afternoon. Needs plenty of water, and good drainage. Needs protection from the harsher winters.
