General Information
Also called White Champaca and White Sandalwood, Pak-Lan is one of the most prized flowering trees of all. This hybrid of Michelia champaca and Michelia montana is not only the source of one of the most expensive perfumes in the world, it is also a beautiful small to medium sized evergreen tree, and is cultivated in tropical and subtropical climates everywhere for its intensely fragrant flowers. This is a special plant that deserves special care (it is quite frost-tender, especially when young, and should be fertilized regularly), so you should try to give it the tropical conditions that it deserves.
