General Information

Native to Eastern U.S., but grows well in Southern California, where it is deciduous and provides an autumn show with yellow leaves every fall. Greenish-yellow, 1-inch-wide flowers appear on mature trees in late spring but are often concealed by leaves. Tree needs ample room to grow, as it quickly reaches 60 to 80 feet and spreads 40 feet.
