General Information

The dwarf version of WINE & ROSES Weigela, MIDNIGHT WINE brings the same romance to the garden, just in a smaller package. At just 12 inches, this tidy mound of dark burgundy-purple leaves is perfect along walkways and other narrow sites. It can be used as an accent plant, a dramatic mass planting, or is ideal for edging the perennial bed. Consider using it instead of ‘Crimson Pygmy’ Barberry: MIDNIGHT WINE doesn’t have any thorns! It is maintenance free and needs no pruning because it is extremely slow-growing and its habit is perfect the way it is. This deer resistant little shrub just needs sun and water to give you intense color from spring to fall.
