Deciduous shrub with an upright growth habit. Golden foliage is attractive all season. Light pink spring flowers. Orange red fall color. Deer resistant. Average, well drained soil. Best if pruned immediately after blooming. To renew the plant simply cut it to the ground after flowering. Medium moisture. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rates of application.
