Desert Delight Nectarine (Prunus persica var. nucipersica 'Desert Delight')

Prunus persica var. nucipersica 'Desert Delight'
Desert Delight Nectarine
Proven producer in warm winter climates, and highly recommended as an early season nectarine elsewhere. Large fruit with bright red skin, yellow flesh and delicious, rich, nectarine flavor. Harvest mid-June in Central Calif. 1-200 hours. Self-fruitful.
Closely related to peaches, nectarine trees may be difficult to grow because they are attached by so many diseases and require considerable maintenance but well worth the effort when the fruit is ready to eat. Select a variety appropriate for your climate.
