These plants are succulent . Rhipsalis cereuscula is an evergreen; during spring, summer, autumn, winter it assumes a white coloring. Pencil type pendulous plant easily identified by its clusters of tiny stems (like umbels) at the ends of longer branches. Older plants can have rather long stems. Branchlets tend to have some wooly hairs. Flowers are white with pinkish sepals. The adult specimens are medium in size and reach 24 inches high.
