Pluot
Hybrid of apricot and plum. A multi-stemmed, shrubby, small tree with a spreading crown, reaching up to 20 feet tall. The fruit is an edible fleshy fruit, nearly round, reddish purple to yellow-brown skin and crimson to amber flesh. Ripens in mid to late summer.
The first apricot and plum hybrids were made by Luther Burbank.
