There are about 55 species of epiphytes allied to Dendrobium but superficially resembling Pleurothallis. Rhizome short, Pseudobulb slender, tufted, stem-like,leaves solitary, terminal, obobate to oblong-elliptic, retuse. Flowers small, solitary sepals and petals free, similar; lip trilobed, midlobe decurved,pubescents, lateral lobee erect, base fused to the column foot. Minimum temperature required 60 F and very humid conditions.
