Woody shrub with funnel-shaped, two-lipped flowers. The flowers are said to resemble a grinning monkey face. Sometimes called Diplacus. One-inch pale orange flowers with sticky leaves and stems, the plant grows to three or four feet.
Prune in spring before flowering, if pruned again after first flowering, they often rebloom in fall. With moderate water and good drainage they may flower repeatedly throughout the year.
