What is a garden myth you hear frequently which you know is untrue?
Native plants are the answer to every problem. -
And, what is the reality?
First of all, the term "native" is being applied so broadly that it is practically meaningless. Second, just because a plant is "native" doesn't mean it's a slam-dunk to grow. Some plants that were native to a location at one time are no longer suited to the same spot (because of climate and other changes). Some natives require a lot of care and pampering to germinate and become established. -
What do you dislike most about gardening?
The sore muscles. The limitations of my budget. -
What do you like most about gardening?
There are always new plants to discover and new challenges to try. I don't think I'll ever get bored with it. -
