What is a garden myth you hear frequently which you know is untrue?
all bees are out to get you. They fly around and watch for their next victim so they can sting you. -
And, what is the reality?
most bees are just minding their own business and they really don't want to sting you unless you mess with them. Do you walk around wanting to bite people? -
What is your favorite gardening outfit or costume?
old comfy shirt, old comfy jeans, sunhat, bare hands -

Who is your own favorite gardening personality on TV, radio or in print? Why?
God. He plants gardens all over everywhere. -
Do you have a gardening philosophy you would like to share with other gardeners? What is it?
God loves gardens. He pours love into each leaf and flower and root so that the whole place is just oozing and radiating love. That's why you get this peaceful feeling when you set foot in a garden. -
If you could grow only one plant, what would it be?
Morning glories or cherry tomatoes.... hmm.... -
What plant have you tried to grow that has given you the most trouble? Or, what plant would you like to grow and can't, and why?
one time I tried to grow a sunflower seed. only problem: it was a roasted sunflower seed.
I would like to grow a Swedish Fish tree. Unfortunately, they do not exist. -
What is your favorite time in the garden?
spring, when there is no mosquitoes, new growth, cool breezes.... -
What is your favorite color in the garden?
green! -
What is your favorite place or activity in the garden?
I have a teeny garden beside a drywall with azaleas growing above it. They make a nice shady place to work, and in the spring they explode and become a beautiful pink mass of flowers. -
What is your favorite public or private garden in the world? Why?
I love my grandma's garden. It is full of interesting common plants of all kinds spewing out of pots and blooming their hearts out under her care. I also like my garden because I can hang out there and work in it whenever. -
What individual has influenced your gardening interest the most? How?
My grandparents and my parents, by showing me their gardens and teaching me how to care for plants and inheriting a love of gardening. God has influenced me the most, by drawing me into His masterpiece and meeting me there. -
What do you dislike most about gardening?
hot Georgia heat. -

the plants! watching them grow! soaking in their colors and life! -
