  • Biographical Information
    Teri Dunn Chace is a writer and editor of dozens of books, including Flower Gardening, Beautiful Roses Made Easy, Outstanding Perennials, 100 Favorite Herbs, and Potting Places: Creative Ideas for Practical Gardening Workspaces. She has also written and edited extensively for Horticulture, North American Gardener, Backyard Living, and Birds & Blooms. Raised in California and educated at Bard College in New York, Teri has gardened in a variety of climate zones and soil types, from inner city Portland, Oregon, to coastal Massachusetts. She now lives in a small, upstate New York village with snowy winters and glorious summers.
    Current projects: The Anxious Gardener's Guide: 112 Gardening Mistakes, How to Avoid or Remedy Them (or words to this effect!), Timber Press, due out in early 2012. Now writing Backyard Invaders: A Gardener's Guide to Invasive Plants, also Timber Press.

    I was fortunate to have a mentor and friend in the late W.C. (Bill) Frase of Orlando, Florida, who generously shared his knowledge of and passion for plants and gardening.
