Biographical Information
I am a Principal and Manager of San Diego Organic Supply Inc.I'm a native of Coachella Valley, California. My background covers extensive education, practical and management experience in both conventional and organic farming both as a Grower and Grower supervisor, in the field and Greenhouse. I studied Crop Science with a concentration in Vegetables and graduated with a B.S. from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo in 1978. Following graduation I spent 25 very interesting years supervising, as an owner and manager, various private, public and multinational produce operations, some as large as 20,000 acres. My experiences have taken place not only in the USA, but I also have extensive program development experience in Mexico, Central America, South America and the Dominican Republic, in both Organic and Conventional agriculture. I have held all 7 Pest Control Advisor’s Licenses in the State of California and am also a Certified Organic Inspector. Since my Company manufactures organic products, I don't need the PCA Licenses or need to wear Kevlar suits anymore when I go into the garden. I used to use more chemicals before breakfast, than many people will ever use in their whole life. I can get better results now using organic methods, than I used to get using chemicals.
