  • Gardening Background

  • Biographical Information
Born in Missouri on a farm and came to California at age 10. I tasted my first apricot from a tree in our yard and fell in love with them. Tasted my first avacado, that took a little longer, but love a good Haas or similar type avacado. Missed the home grown tomatoes, so when I got married, started raising my own tomatoes. Only tried basic easy ones until this year.

I am trying to grow a "Mr. Stripey" tomato. The bush is huge, but the blossoms don't set. I am trying to be patient as I read it's a late producer, but I think since it's the end of July, I should at least be seeing tiny baby tomatoes. I have pruned it, tied it up and deep water it, but still the blossoms won't stick.
