What is your favorite gardening outfit or costume?
Shorts and a tee-shirt! Wearing the shorts make it less annoying when you get covered in dirt. Preferably, no shoes. -
What is the one question about gardening you would really like people to ask you?
I love to answer questions about soil, as oddly enough. Blooming is also a favortie of mine. Though working in a garden center, I get all the questions. So ask away! and ill try to answer. -
Do you have a gardening philosophy you would like to share with other gardeners? What is it?
If you want to grow it, just let it be. Most of my plants, I have payed little attention, but gave them love at the same time. Checking there soil from time to time, fertilizing turning the blooming season. But if a plant really wants to grow, it will! Its just trying to find that nice spot in the sun of shade it likes. -
If you could grow only one plant, what would it be?
I dont think I could choose, But if I had to.. I would pick the Hoya. There so interesting, and I have yet to see mine mature enough to bloom! -
What plant have you tried to grow that has given you the most trouble? Or, what plant would you like to grow and can't, and why?
The Prim Rose. I brought one home, and after a couple days, it just flopped. I managed to bring it back, but it just didn't like the dry air in my home I guess. -
What is your favorite color in the garden?
I love pink, It has to be my favorite color! Pink and white, are lovely together. Yellow and orange as well. There so many colors in a garden, its hard not to love them all! -
What is your favorite place or activity in the garden?
I love indoor plants, so I trim them,talk to them, make up new soil mixes. Im also going to start a veggie garden this summer, so we will see how that works! -
What individual has influenced your gardening interest the most? How?
My father, and my work place. When I started to work at my family garden center, I started to take an interest in the pants, and how they worked, what they needed. In the plant house, I would grab a book and look up each plant, how to take care of it, what soil. It has been, and still will be a great experance! -
What do you dislike most about gardening?
The bugs, unfortunatly. I hate spiders! The pesky blood suckers are annoying too. And, also, the snowing part, because I end of having a jungle inside of my house because of all the indoor pants I kee -
What do you like most about gardening?
I like the feeling of making something come to life, and grow from a seed. I also love the feeling of taking a sick or dieing plant, and bringing it back to life. The feeling, for me, is excitement, and joy. As geeky as that sounds! -
