Do you have an older yard that's outdated?
Selling your home?
Or just need a new look to spruce up your yard?
Don't know where to start?
We are here to help.
A Green Thumb is a landscape rehabilitation and renovation company. We are landscape designers and landscape consultants.
Our Mission:
As a resident and native of San Diego for over 40 years, I see neighborhoods that are ravaged by age.
Here at Green Thumb, our mission is to give the home owner an outlet to beautify their home without a home equity loan to do landscaping.
We invision a more economic, ecological, and greener way of doing things.
We want to cater to the more historical neighborhoods of San Diego by creating eco-friendly and greener enviornments for home owners and their families to enjoy.
There is no greater feeling than knowing we are helping our neighbors, but greening our community as well.
Taylor M. Murphy
Owner, A Green Thumb
Garden is in the title but it covers a wide array of tasty topics – art, food, drink, plants, eco tidbits, products, peeves, snipets from a cast of characters and guest bloggers, friendly banter and oodles of photos. It swirls around my love of nature and fascination of all things creative.
It’s sort of a “Seinfeld” of blogs … about nothing too specific or technical but with alot to say and see.

We're a company based in the garden-lush seaside city of Santa Barbara, California which believes that Mother Nature is a beauty queen--and so are you! Founded in 2010 by Nell Foster, a professional gardener and lover of beauty and style, she realized that every gardener deserves to feel as gorgeous as her most beloved blossoms.
Joy Us is devoted to using sustainable and eco-conscious fabrics and notions to create the most stylish, sturdy and functional gardening apparel and accessories available. Nell has poured her lifetime of gardening experience into designing products that are chic and functional (Need a hidden pocket? She's thought of it!). A lover of blue jeans (what gardener isn't?) she decided that rich, wearable, and long-lasting denim would be our signature fabric.
Our products are so stylish that we're even seeing them beyond the garden wall, in yoga studios, at Farmer's Markets and lots of places in between.
We're proud that all of our products are made right here in the USA! We make a point of working with suppliers and manufacturers that are as close as possible (preferably just a short, scenic coastal drive away) and share our values of sustainability and integrity.

I am the author of Golden Gate Gardening (Sasquatch Books), a west coast guide to growing vegetables, herbs, fruits, and flowers that centers on the coastal climate of California but is useful inland too. We have a mediterranean climate, which is unique in the U.S. and this guide helps gardeners use it well. I am also the author of Wildly Successful Plants: Northern California, Controlling Vegetable Pests (Environmentally Friendly Gardening series) and Easy Vegetable Gardening Plans, articles for national gardening magazines, and write a monthly gardening column for the San Francisco Chronicle. I blog at goldengategarden.typepad.com. I lecture on gardening topics in the San Francisco Bay Area.
