What is a garden myth you hear frequently which you know is untrue?
Gravel in the bottom of a pot provides better drainage. NOT TRUE! -
And, what is the reality?
The longer the soil column, the better the drainage! -
What is your favorite gardening outfit or costume?
No costume. Just jeans and shoes. -
If you could grow only one plant, what would it be?
Equisetum hymale. -
What plant have you tried to grow that has given you the most trouble? Or, what plant would you like to grow and can't, and why?
Gardenias. For some reason I could never get my plant to flower. Only tried one, but eventually just gave it away. -

Spring. Finally have plenty of sunlight and warm weather so I can be outside in the yard all day long (and even into the night!). -

Green and purple. -

I love pruning to shape. -

Taft Gardens in Ojai. Used to be public, now its private and I can go whenever I want!! Muhuahahahaha! -

My dad. Made me work in the yard every weekend. I hated it at first, but now I love it! :) -
