DESCRIPTION:<p><span style="font-size: small;">City of San Diego Landscape Architect JoEllen Jacoby will hold a free Garden-Friendly Landscape Class on Saturday, March 31st at the Balboa Park Recital Hall, adjacent to the Puppet Theater in Balboa Park (off of President's Way). Jacoby will discuss how to remove water-thirsty lawns and plan a new design for a water-smart landscape that is both beautiful and sustainable. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: small;">An overview of grass removal, irrigation choices, and new plant selection will assist homeowners in making good decisions for their new landscape. A selection of plants will also be available for viewing along with samples of California-Friendly landscapes. The class will include a review of resources and City rebates available to assist with a landscape makeover. Each participant will receive a "Homeowners Guide to a WaterSmart Landscape," along with other reference materials. </span></p>
