Thanks to Robin Rivet for giving me the true "secret" to catching those nasty, tricky, speedy rats in my garden. I've tried a lot of different things, but they always seem to outsmart the trap, but so far this has worked two nights in a row! I've combined two tips, one is to get about a 4 inch piece of wire, poke it through an almond with about 1/2 inch sticking out on the other side, then taking the other 3 inches of wire and wrap it around the post of the rat trap and (this is the important part) wrap it through the little hole on the post so it can't be stolen. Then the second part is to super glue a couple more almonds (or any food) to the floor of the trap. The rats really have to work to try to get the almonds and inevitably trip the trap. The great thing about using almonds is they are not sticky, easier to use and can be re-used.

Rats can eat anything. Rats are large rodents. Getting rid of rats can also prevent you and your family to catch diseases carried by these large rodents. Diseases like the bubonic plague, leptospirosis, rat-bite fever and other harmful illnesses are carried by rats and usually are left behind by their saliva, urine, and stool. One can call a professional pest controller like Rodent Control, rodent control ct, Pest Control Stratford CT or similar which one can find online for their help or can go for natural and helpful tips in eliminating rats like cleaning up crumbs and keep food safely stored away, block the rats possible passage ways, use preventive tools to repel rats away, use proper gear in handling dead rats, use suitable methods in getting rid of rats.
