Generally evergreen vining plants that climb 20 to 30 feet by tendrils. Plants bloom during warm weather featuring eye-catching flowers, some of which are fragrant. Most varieties have fruit of varying quality when it comes to taste. The plants usually attract the gulf fritillary butterfly. Some species can become invasive.
