General Information
Although not culinary herbs, the Australian \"rosemaries\" in the exclusively Australian genus Westringia do somewhat resemble rosemary plants, and are just as easy to grow. All are excellent drought-tolerant shrubs that grow well in many different environments. Among the most popular are the varieties of Westringia fruticosa (which is also sometimes sold as Westringia rosmariniformis), including both silvery-foliaged and variegated-foliaged varieties with white flowers nearly all year in mild climates. A hybrid of this species and Westringia eremicola called \'Wynyabbie Gem\' is a beautiful shrub with green leaves and bright blue flowers over a long season -- this one is also a particularly good addition to flower arrangements.
