Plant Encyclopedia (three ways to search for plants)
We have over 85,000 plants in our Plant Encyclopedia. They don't all have complete information, but we're working on it all the time. As you can imagine it's a big job, as new plants are found and created all the time. The main feature of the Plant Encyclopedia is to make it possible for you to ADD the plants to your plant lists (and therefore be automatically connected to new information as it comes available).
There are three ways to search our Plant Encyclopedia; by Common or Botanical name, by Plant Attribute, or Alphabetically by Botanical Name.
To find the Plant Encyclopedia hover your mouse over Plants - Plant Encyclopedia and you'll see your options. If you click on the Search by Name you'll be taken to a search page (see below).
We Can't Stress this Enough: If you Add the Plants you own, or are interested in, to one of your plant lists then you are automatically connected to that plant - and as we get new research, photos, plant care instructions, special offers or anything else related to that plant you won't have to search all over the internet to find it, it will be right on your My Profile page waiting for you!
