More houseplants die from too much water than from too little. It's tempting to water all plants on a schedule, but much better for the plants if you get your hands dirty instead. Stick your finger into the soil. If it's moist under the surface, don't water yet, but check again in a day or two. When you do water, add water until some runs out of the bottom of the pot. Be sure to pour off the excess, though, so the plant doesn't sit in a puddle.
