As you might already know, we're big supporters of solar power here at Clean Air Gardening.
Back in 2008, we installed a 3.2 kilowatt solar panel system on our roof and front awning that helps generate part of the electricity for our building.

I've been very happy with our setup. But at a cost of tens of thousands of dollars, it will take us more than 15 years for the solar panels to pay for themselves with the electricity they generate.
When people ask me about our solar panel system, this has been the biggest objection to why they don't install solar too.

I'm excited to tell you that I have some good news in that respect.

With some more work on our own, we could have saved up to $20,000 on our solar panels, because we paid more than $7 per watt, before installation.
