Selenicereus Testudo 5 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Hope this is OK to put up here. I'm new here, so please be kind..

Does anyone know if Selenicereus Testudo, a night blooming cactus / epi, is scented?
I've searched but that bit of info does not seem to be findable, seems the plant is spmewhat uncommon.

At eBay, dcravalho, of epiphyllum world has it. I have bought many epis from him, and they have been good plants, all strong growers. He does some hybridizing, so has a few other things you really can't find, and also shares ones from other folk. However, I particularly focus on scented ones... though this looks a bit scary, pretty sharp spines, and I tend to avoid those...

Is it true that nearly all night blooming plants are scented, as that is how they attract their pollinators?

hello xikum,

I don't know the answer, but the people at Garden jewels nursery specialize in epis and they may be able to help. I suggest you call the Nursery at 619.987-6251 or email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

I hope that helps!
