My 5 favorite plants are

Roses, tomatoes, blueberries, day lilies and just about all bright colored or white flowers.

What is your favorite gardening outfit or costume?

Anything comfortable will do.

Who is your own favorite gardening personality on TV, radio or in print? Why?

The Garden compass team. They explain everything how, what and why to do something. They genuinely seem to like to help people.

What plant have you tried to grow that has given you the most trouble? Or, what plant would you like to grow and can't, and why?

An orange and avocado tree. I have found that the orange tree was too close to a huge eucalyptus tree and therefore it didn't have a chance to grow.
There were two avocado trees planted in same hole, one died but another is still alive and it even has ONE avocado growing. I'm excited about that!

What is your favorite time in the garden?

Late afternoon or early morning.

What is your favorite color in the garden?

Red.

What is your favorite place or activity in the garden?

Our gazebo. I love to spend time there surrounded with all my plants. I also like to walk around and check individual plants very closely, looking for any new "development" since last time.

What individual has influenced your gardening interest the most? How?

I always liked gardening, but I didn't know how to garden in California when we moved here. I took few gardening classes, and several years ago I discovered The Garden Compass radio show, which I listen as often as possible. I feel that I have learned from that show more than anywhere else. I especially like that they promote organic gardening which I also prefer.

What do you dislike most about gardening?

When wild animals, bugs or something else destroy some of my plants.

What do you like most about gardening?

I find it very relaxing, challenging and rewarding. I'm happy to see when plants respond to the care that I give them by producing a lush growth and/or beautiful flowers.

I like other nurseries also (Weidners, Kniffings, El Plantio) but since these are closest to me, I visit them more often.
