Golf Course Turf Grass - Paspalum vaginatum
I guess since I am such a lawn-lover, I should recommend a good lawn grass for our readers. Paspalum is a very salt tolerant grass that has a great dark green color with a hint of blue-green in it. It spreads by stolons and can take over other grasses. Once established, it really keeps out weeds and invading grasses. The key to this grass is mowing with a reel mower at about 1/2" to 1" on a weekly basis. The grass can go a bit dormant in winter but in our climate, that is usually for a short time. It does need full sun but if you have had lawn problems before, try this grass.
