  • Cozette : Sorry about that, not "Sulpice", "Stupice".  They are pretty flavorful.  I'm in Sunset 24 or Zone 9.
  • Cozette : Harvested our second crop of yellow crook-necked squash and had a couple of good tomatoes "Sulpice".  I love summer.
  • mitch : I'm wondering if i should cut down my hood pear, It's not doing so well, and i need the space... question:
  • mitch : what kind of grapes are you going to plant?
  • seedy : Started putting up 6 ft posts to prepare for grape vines next year, got six posts up going to work on sturdy cross bars this week!
  • Cozette : Rust attacked my roses.  I'm having to pull all the infected leaves off−-−what a job.  On the positive side, the crook-necked summer squash is about ready.
  • mitch : big weekend of weeding and summer pruning my fruit trees to keep the size down. the fruit in my yard is starting to go nuts - apricots, santa rosa plums and it looks like babcock white peaches are next!
  • mrsmith : Checked the pumpkins today. The whole three acres look like they germinated. Yeah, now how to keep the ragweed down!!
  • Cozette : I keep reading about Buffalo Grass, I'd love to see some.  Has anyone in North San Diego County planted it?
  • mitch : My kids picked a great big bowl of wonderful apricots today - I love summer!
